2013-06-14 –  Bruxelles-les-Bains will run from 5 July to 11 August 2013, with Quai des Péniches playing host for the 11th year running to this event which brings a mood of celebration and fun to the capital during the summer period.

Along 500 metres of quayside, some 250,000 visitors will make the most of the 12,000 m2 of this waterside resort set up right in the heart of Europe’s capital. Exploring the artistic and cultural programme, enjoying a change of scene, relaxing, recharging your batteries, meeting up with friends, playing, getting into the festive mood, dancing, laughing, exercising...once again, the possibilities on offer will be plentiful.

And as ever there will be some new elements on the programme:

  • an opening spectacle with flames and fireworks on the banks of the Canal.

  • guided cruises offered by Brussels By Water.
  • a photo exhibition to mark the 20th anniversary of the Port of Brussels: two panoramic views, each 28 metres long, representing the entire length of the left and right banks of Brussels’ waterway.
  • open-air cinema: after sunset, the sports grounds will be the place for film fans to go, for the  ‘L’Heure d’Été’ festival.
  • a new development on theconcert front: the ‘Let it Beach’ festival (a completely new musical concept: pop/rock/electro/hip hop concerts on Fridays; world music on Saturdays; and dancing for couples on Sundays).
