(Re)discover Molenbeek with MolenSplash

2016.04.25 – This Sunday 1 May, Brussels by Water launches its new tourist boating season on the Canal. This year, on dry land, on the initiative of the Municipal Tourism Service, Molenbeek’s culture and tourism partners offer the various ports of call of MolenSplash: a concert, exhibitions, activities and tours of six iconic locations in Molenbeek.

On the programme:

  • discover the Café de La Rue with authentic 30s decor;
  • explore Molenbeek on foot, by bike or by boat;
  • examine old Canal views in the exhibition at the Génération Europe youth hostel;
  • climb the 172 steps to the bell tower of the Saint-Rémi church and admire a 360° panorama;
  • visit the new MIMA Museum;
  • enjoy a free guided tour of La Fonderie (Brussels Museum of Industry and Labour);
  • at the Béco Dock, Molen Besace will offer organic juices, local beers and snacks, plus creative and culinary workshops for all ages.
