2015-06-22 – Bruxelles-les-Bains 2015 will take place from 3 July to 9 August 2015, with Quai des Péniches being used for this summer event again. The site, 500 metres long and covering 12,000 m2, will once more be turned into a genuine waterside resort in the heart of the European capital.

Boating activities on the Canal (pedalos, kayaks, cruises, etc.), first launched in 2013 (see facing text to the left), now occupy an important place at Bruxelles-les-Bains.From 2 pm to 8 pm every Sunday, pedalos, kayaks and a number of all-new boats will be available for all to enjoy. These activities will be supervised by stewards to ensure visitors’ safety.

Once again, though, there will also be a series of new features.

  • A festive cruise... on land… to kick the festival off: a festive boat will cruise the site, with a crooning captain and accompanying musicians on board, and followed by a deep sea creature. This procession will add some colour to the first few hours on Brussels’ very own beach.
  • New site layout and new entrance: a fourth entrance will be open on Rue de la Dyle, leading directly to the sports area. There will also be a newcomer to the beach: a new terrace for the Croisetteke.
  • Football jousting in a cage measuring around 10 m2.
  • Group fitness courses.
  • Kosmopolite Art Tour: from 3 to 10 July, over thirty Belgian artists will create monumental murals on the Canal banks and on the Bruxelles-les-Bains site. Visitors to the beach will have a unique opportunity to discover the techniques used in the pictorial world of street art. Guided tours, workshops, screenings, music and skateboarding and breakdance performances will also be on the programme.
  • Belgian beers will be available on the site.
  • Etc.
