2016-06-21 – Bruxelles les Bains 2016 will run from 1 July to 7 August. This essential event on the Brussels summer calendar, now in its 15th year, will occupy Quai des Péniches once again, turning it into a beach resort in the heart of the city.
All the familiar elements will be there: catering chalets, bars, water sports, sporting activities, clubbing, film and opera screenings, concerts, children’s games and more.
There will also be some new features, including a free app with full programme details, the Puces Nautiques nautical flea market, a reading box, board games, introductory sports sessions and organised sports, and a speed dating event known as La croisière s’amuse/The Love Boat…
Inaugural spectacle and national day
To mark the opening of this 15th edition, Bruxelles les Bains presents the poetical parade of lights Les Abysses on Friday 1 July (parade starts from Pont Sainctelette at 5 pm; inaugural spectacle at 10 pm).
A special programme is planned for Belgian National Day on 21 July.
How to get there
- Quai des Péniches, 1000 Brussels, near Place Sainctelette, by the Canal.
- Free admission to the site via three entry points: Place Sainctelette, Quai de la Voirie and Quai de Willebroeck.
Opening times
From 1 July to 7 August 2016.
- Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Sundays: from 11 am to 10 pm.
- EXCEPTION: 11 pm closing time on 21 July.
- Friday and Saturday: from 11 am to 11 pm.
- CLOSED ON MONDAYS
