2014-01-29 – As part of ‘Molenbeek, Capital of Culture 2014’, from 7 February to 15 March 2014 the Molenbeek Arts and Social Cohesion Centre will host ‘1+1+1=1080’, a collective contemporary art exhibition featuring three major international names who have close ties with Molenbeek.
Peter Downsbrough lives and works in the area; Emilio López-Menchero has a studio there; and Beat Streuli has photographed the people of Molenbeek. Each of them has created a number of original works specially for the Arts Centre.
This exhibition will have the effect of revealing another side of Molenbeek – a municipality that welcomes and is home to numerous internationally renowned artists.
