2015-05-29 – Foodmet, the covered food hall run by the operators of the Abattoir site, opened today for the first time.
Situated to the left of the great historic hall of the Anderlecht Abattoir, it will be home to 17 butcheries (the meat market started in the early 80s closed last week), 30 food stalls (fruit and vegetables, olives, breads, cheeses, meats, fish ...) and a bistro, in an atmosphere reminiscent of Southern European markets.
Foodmet is open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 7 am to 2 pm, in parallel with the open-air market.
