2014-01-10 – MolenStart, the first event of Molenbeek, Capital of Culture 2014, will take place on Saturday 25 January at 6 pm, at Château du Karreveld.
The programme is as follows:
- a sound and light show with pyrotechnic effects and the participation of the pupils of the Molenbeek Academy of Music.
- absurd machines drawn by children at ‘Notre Coin du Quartier’ and created by the Bonnevie Training Centre.
- the ‘Fées Lumière’ of La Louvière, Capital of Culture 2012.
- the first public performance of ‘MolemCapitale’, the Molenbeek 2014 song (the rapper Pitcho has overseen the artistic production of this track, created in conjunction with Centrum West, D’Broej and Molenbeek Youth Club).
- drinks for members of the audience and performers at 6.45 pm.
