2017.09.29 – Two projects located by the Canal in Brussels have tied for first prize in the LafargeHolcim Awards 2017 for the Europe Region presented in Marseille today. Sponsored by the LafargeHolcim Foundation, the awards go to architectural projects, selected by an independent panel, that excel in terms of sustainable construction.The two Brussels projects that tied for the Gold Award are the improved integration of the Inter-Beton concrete plant in the urban fabric, and a future building of Brussels Cleanliness, whose integration into its local neighbourhood has been handled with great care (read more information about the winners here).The panel welcomed the Canal Plan’s promotion of urban diversity, as reflected by these two projects.
