2015-05-18 – The Tour & Taxis site is currently hosting three exhibitions devoted to the Canal Area.

  • Natagora’s remarkable photography exhibition The Senne Canal: an ecological corridor in the heart of Brussels, presented at Saint-Géry in 2013 (see opposite) and featuring crabs, amphibians, birds and other creatures in unusual and sometimes amusing contexts, returns to BEL (the new Brussels Environment building at Avenue du Port 86c, 1000 Brussels) between 21 May and 12 June 2015, on Monday to Friday from 8.30 am to 5.30 pm. It is complemented by the Coordination Senne exhibition Brussels: at the heart of the Senne valley. Both address the issue of integrating biodiversity into the development of this fast-changing part of Brussels (www.natagora.be/bruxellesand www.coordinationsenne.be).
  • The B2Art gallery, located in the Royal Warehouse at Tour & Taxis, is hosting Chantal Vanoeteren’s photography exhibition Canal/Kanaal until 29 May 2015, from 8 am to 10 pm every day. The photographer has travelled the length and breadth of the Canal Area recording its landscapes – many of which bear witness to the effects of deindustrialisation – at a time when it is changing rapidly and improvements and public and private investments are on the increase (www.b2art.be/expositions).
